Was ist Karate?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Karate (jap. \u201eleere Hand\u201c) ist eine japanische Kampfkunst, die verschiedenste Schlag-, Sto\u00df-, Tritt- und Blocktechniken sowie Ausweichbewegungen lehrt.<\/p>\n

Viele Karateka \u00fcben ihren Sport aus, um sich im Notfall selbst verteidigen zu k\u00f6nnen. Und tats\u00e4chlich ist Karate eine wirksame und praktikable Verteidigungsart.<\/p>\n

Kraft und k\u00f6rperliche Statur spielen in der Karate-Selbstverteidigung nur eine untergeordnete Rolle. Viel wichtiger sind Schnelligkeit, Geschicklichkeit und Gelassenheit. Dies wird anhand von Technik- und Partnertraining gelehrt.<\/p>\n

Karate bei uns<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Die bei uns ausge\u00fcbte Stilrichtung ist das \u201eChi Do Kwan Karate Do\u201c, auch besser bekannt als \u201eAmerican Karate System\u201c, kurz AKS. Aber auch Karateka aus anderen Stilrichtungen sind bei uns immer willkommen.<\/p>\n

Das American Karate System oder auch Chi Do Kwan Karate-Do wurde von US-Streitkr\u00e4ften nach Deutschland gebracht und ist seit 1997 beim Deutschen Karateverband e.V. sowie dem Karateverband Niedersachsen e.V. angesiedelt.<\/p>\n

Dies ist eine etwas andere Karate-Stilrichtung, da neben den bekannten Trainingsformen Kihon, Kata und Kumite auch Hebel-, Fege- und Wurftechniken, Selbstverteidigung, Nah- und Bodenkampf sowie Fallschule und der Umgang mit Kobudo-Waffen trainiert wird.<\/p>\n

Wir sind Mitglied im Deutschen Karate Verband e.V. (DKV), welcher der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Fachverband f\u00fcr Karate in Deutschland und Mitglied sowie offizieller Repr\u00e4sentant f\u00fcr diesen Sport im Deutschen Olympischen Sportbund ist.<\/p>\n
